Managing Director, Co-founder
Claire has over 30 years’ experience in Asia and the USA creating and leading new, and emerging lines of business for global Fortune 500 technology companies driving revenue of over US$300M, and was a founding partner of an Asia based start-up, resulting in a successful exit.
Claire has responsibility for overseeing and managing investments, fundraising, portfolio, and company operations for this $50m USD target Fund and the Accelerator. Claire also represents TYLAP on the Global Board of The Yield Lab.
Larry TAYLOR
Co-founder
Larry has 40+ years of experience developing agriculture business in Asian markets. Beginning with smallholder farm-credit at the Malaysian National Ag Bank, he had a 20-year corporate career with big ag living and working in 9 Asian countries. Experiences included product commercialization and strategic business responsibility with 2 Fortune 50 companies. Larry owned and operated a US-Asia consulting firm specializing in market entry strategies. Larry built businesses in global markets serving government, corporate and non-profit clients. Larry earned a degree in Agricultural Economics and Animal Science from Cornell University.
Thad SIMONS
Venture Partner
Thad is the co-founder and managing director of The Yield Lab. He is former President and CEO of Novus International, Inc., a global animal health and nutrition company with sales > US $1 billion. Thad has served on the boards of the International Food and Agribusiness Management Assn. (President), American Feed Industry Assn., National Chicken Council, Maryville University, and Advisory Board of the Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience. Thad is on the board of three AgTech startups: Ascus Biosciences, Ecto and Proviera. Thad is President of The Yield Lab Institute, the non-profit arm of The Yield Lab.
Mirzan MAHATHIR

Mirzan is the Chairman and CEO of Crescent Capital, a Malaysian investment holding and financial advisory firm he founded in 1991. Mirzan holds directorships in private and public companies including Petron Corporation, listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange. Mirzan has over 25 years of experience in the investment and financial services industry; taking Konsortium Logistik Berhad public on KLSE and advised on multiple M&A deals including acquisition of Malaysia’s second national shipping line, PNSL. He serves as Chairman of Malaysian Youth Orchestra, President of Lawn Tennis Association Malaysia and was a member of the Business Advisory Council of United Nations ESCAP.
Michelle CHEE
Principal
Michelle has more than 13 years of fund management experience. She started her asset management career at Evia Capital, a boutique private equity fund managing an AUM of US$110m. At Evia, she oversees investor relations and assists with due diligence, portfolio management and compliance matters.
As principal of The Yield Lab, she is in charge of deal execution, investment, portfolio management, investor reporting and assists with the accelerator program. Michelle graduated with Bachelors of Business Administration from National University of Singapore.
Dhairya SACHDEV
Investment Manager
Dhairya has over 6 years of experience in Investment Banking and Private Equity. He started his career with Macquarie’s Infrastructure business focusing on Asset Valuations and Investor Reporting of Green Energy (renewable) and Real Estate assets across Asia-Pacific. His academic (MSc in Finance at National University of Singapore) and professional experience has allowed him to acquire analytical and financial skills in operational asset management, financial modelling, and financial analysis. His focus during Masters was specializing in Corporate Finance with a second major in Venture Capital & Private Equity.
In his current capacity as Investment Manager, he is responsible for supporting the team with fundraising, investment committee management, Fund Investor identification, portfolio management, investor reporting and development of Impact Measurement framework.

Dr Lee CHEE WEE
Principal Scientist and Technology Advisor,
Temasek Polytechnic
Dr. Lee Chee Wee holds the esteemed position of Principal Scientist and Technology Advisor at Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore. He is also the Co-Director of the Centre for Aquaculture Research, Innovation, and Education, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Biotechnology at Nanyang Technological University.
Dr. Lee earned his BSc and MSc degrees from McGill University, Canada, and completed his PhD at the University of Alberta, supported by the Alberta Heritage Foundation Scholarship for Medical Research. After his doctoral studies, he conducted a Post-doctoral Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine, USA, and later pursued an academic career at the National University of Singapore. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Lee is the Founder and Director of Lynk Biotechnologies, MediLynk, and Dynalynk Pharma, specializing in transdermal delivery product development. Dr. Lee is a recipient of the Singapore Spirit of Enterprise award, a Harvard Business School General Management Program graduate, and has contributed significantly to the intellectual property field as a board member of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS).
He is recognized for his diverse roles in academia, institutions, and as a Scientific Advisor for organizations like the Asian Development Bank and the International Association for Agricultural Sustainability. Dr. Lee is also the Convenor and Country Head for ISO/TC281 (Fine Bubble Technology) within the Singapore Standard Development Organisation, showcasing his leadership in standards development. His remarkable achievements have earned him the prestigious Singapore Public Administration Medal (PPA) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field.
David SHANNON
General Manager, RailPulse
Mr. Shannon is the General Manager at RailPulse, a coalition of forward-thinking railcar owners joint together to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of GPS and other telematics technology across the North American railcar network to significantly increase visibility, efficiency, and safety. Prior to this, Mr. Shannon lead Parker’s Diversified Technology Business Unit, which develops and produces solutions rooted in the Internet of Things (IoT).
With more than 25 years of experience, and 10 patents in the area of, IoT, Global Supply Chain technologies, and Big Data/Analytics, his diverse and accomplished executive career has seen the successful completion of assignments in corporate strategy, product development, business development, international market development, and supply chain solutions for companies like Savi Technology, a Lockheed Martin company, and IBM.
Rebekah MOSES
Impact Strategy, Climate Leader
Rebekah Moses has led impact strategy teams across FoodTech, AgTech, and the broader climate food security solution space. She partnered with policymakers to drive novel research, tech uptake, and market-shaping engagement.
She works to mobilize operations, products, and thought leadership to deliver positive environmental and social outcomes, with a focus on governance for purpose, decarbonization of controlled environment agriculture, livestock alternatives, and effectively shaping consumer engagement.
Rebekah began her career in the defense industry, focusing on resource scarcity. Following her Masters in International Agricultural Development at the UC Davis, she supported public sector development and ag research at various institutes. She was Director of Impact Strategy team at Impossible Foods and Iron Ox.
Rebekah’s climate and food system research contributions can be found in books and journals like Nature Communications (in review), Public Library of Science (PLOS), Journal of Applied Ecology, and in collaborations with the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and the Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA).
Brian Clevinger
Founder, Immunology, MedTech, GP The Yield Lab Fund I, II, Global Opprtunity Fund, and Founder CEO Prologue Ventures
A Prolog co-founder and managing director, Brian has been involved in the commercialization of bioscience for more than 25 years. Prior to co-founding the firm, Brian was the CEO of vaccine developer Megan Health. He led the company from its founding in 1993 to its acquisition in 2000 by AVANT Immunotherapeutics.
Prior to that, Brian was tapped by Alafi Capital to head its medical technology commercialization partnership with Washington University, A/W Company.
Brian began his professional career at Washington University, where he held a tenured position, headed a research laboratory, and created a monoclonal antibody core facility. He holds a doctorate in immunology from Indiana University and was awarded an NIH-sponsored postdoctoral fellowship at Washington University.
Rajendra (Raj) KETKAR
Principal Consultant, RDK Global Consulting LLC
Mr. Raj Ketkar has broad and deep experience in the ag industry. He has led businesses around the globe in ag chemicals, seeds and plant biotechnology. His functional expertise includes global commercial business, biotechnology R&D and manufacturing.
Mr. Raj Ketkar is currently Principal Consultant at RDK Global Consulting LLC. In this role he provides management consulting to the ag tech industry including mentoring ag tech startups. He also guest lectures at the School of Business at California State University, Sacramento.
Prior to this role, he was President and CEO, and member of the Board of Directors, of Arcadia Biosciences Inc. (Nasdaq: RKDA). In this role he led a significant transformation of the business that included a pivot from a technology licensing business model to a product-oriented model in the health and nutrition ingredients products space including raising new capital and rebuilding the leadership team.
Prior to Arcadia, Raj had a long career at Monsanto. He held many roles around the globe, including the launch of Bt cotton in India and the launch of new agricultural chemicals and plant biotechnology products in US and international markets. He has experience in technology licensing and has led businesses in India, Thailand/Vietnam, and the US.
Mr. Ketkar has a MS in Chemical Engineering and an MBA. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
B Pratyusha CHENNUPATI
Atlantic Council Millennium Fellow / External Jury Reviewer -Food Waste Reduction Challenge / Member of the Canadian Agriculture Youth Council
B. Pratyusha Chennupati has made significant contributions to the agribusiness industry since graduating from McGill University. She started her career as a product development scientist at Concentric Ag Inc., where she established the manufacturing facility and developed plant nutrition and health products. In her previous roles, she successfully registered microalgae products in South, Central and North America, South Africa, and Europe and obtained self-assessed-GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) FDA notifications for health food ingredients. Currently serving as Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs at Pebble Labs Inc., B. continues to drive innovation. She recently got selected to be a Millennium fellow with Atlantic council. In 2023, she received the Macdonald Distinguished Alumni Award from McGill University. As a member of the Canadian Agriculture Youth Council, she influences agricultural policies, including youth inclusion in food systems.
B.'s notable achievements include collaborating with Global Affairs Canada to advocate for youth in agriculture food systems, presenting her work at CFS 50-FAO. She is a member of the Cyber Security Advisory Committee. She also serves as an external reviewer for the Food Waste Reduction Challenge - Impact Canada, providing insights on regulatory hurdles.
Lakshman Pachineela SESHADRI

With over 35 years of diverse experience in Strategy, Design, Technology, and Innovation, Mr. Lakshman is a seasoned professional specializing in guiding companies through Design Led Innovation and shaping their Business, Design, and Technology Strategy. As an independent Consultant, he facilitates the planning, adoption, and scaling of Design Led Innovation, emphasizing his expertise in Design Futures, Design Thinking, Behavioral Design, Business Model Innovation, and Lean Start-up approaches.
His engagements encompass Strategy, Product & Service Innovation, and Digital Transformation, addressing technologies such as Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Analytics, and Big Data solutions.
Previously, Mr. Lakshman held leadership roles during his 22-year tenure at SAP, overseeing Design Led Innovation globally and spearheading the establishment and growth of the "Design Led Innovation" program in India. As Vice President of SAP Services Innovation and Head of Innovation at SAP Global Delivery, he co-founded and managed strategic programs for SAP Consulting on a global scale. Lakshman also played pivotal roles at IBM Global Services, Digital Equipment Corporation, NIIT, and Transprojects.
As an Adjunct Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore & Udaipur, and a former member of the School of Design Thinking, Hasso Plattner Institute, Potsdam, Germany, Mr. Lakshman continues to contribute to academia. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Studies (Business Design & Innovation) at Welingkar School, Bangalore, and the Governing Council at Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai. Dr Ramesh RALIYA

Mr. Ramesh Raliya is the Chief Scientific Officer at Tidal Grow AgriScience, a company leading biomolecular technology for a healthier population and planet. Mr. Raliya was the inventor of Nano Urea and is a Scientist and Entrepreneur of Nano Technology. He has been a part of IIT Delhi as Adjunct Faculty. Prior to that he was General Manager & Head (Research & Development) at Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited. He has led IFFCO's Nano Biotechnology Research Centre in India. He has been a visiting Research Scientist at the Washington University in St. Louis, USA.
He has received numerous academic honors and awards in Nano Technology, Biotechnology and Research. He has published and registered 17 patents for his innovations and science, Dr. Raliya served as a reviewer for about 30 journals for over 1000 manuscripts from the subject of Nanotechnology, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Nanomedicine, Nanoscience and Material Science published by – ACS, RSC, Willey, Nature, Springer, Taylor & Francis and Elsevier.

Yong SUN
Managing Director, Ping An Capital
Mr. Yong is a seasoned investor with over a decade of experience in M&A and minority investments. At Ping An, he led the acquisition of 53% of Autohome—a premier online platform for auto consumers in China—from Telstra, Australia's top telecom, for $1.8 billion USD, and the complete acquisition of Mayborn, a leading global juvenile products company in the UK, from 3i. Prior to Ping An, Mr. Yong held various strategic planning and investment roles at Cargill to lead projects in the US, Brazil, the Philippines, and China.
Mr. Yong also successfully turned around an industrial starch plant in China as a general manager. Previously, Mr. Yong worked at Roland Berger, Nokia, and Schlumberger.
He earned an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and holds both a B.S. and a Master’s degree from Tsinghua University.
Krish DATTA
Ex- Founding member & CEO of Credence
With a rich background spanning 34 years in the technology industry, Mr. Krish has successfully built and led numerous enterprise technology-based ventures across the ASEAN region, India, Japan, Australia, and the Middle East. A dedicated business and people leader, he has consistently demonstrated success in both established global MNCs and startup environments in Asia.
During his 16-year tenure at SAP Asia Pacific, Mr. Krish held various leadership roles, including the establishment of SAP in Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam. Eventually, he assumed the role of President, SAP Southeast Asia, overseeing all facets of the business, from sales and marketing to operations, presales, partner and eco-system management, finance, support, HR, and consulting.
Post his tenure at SAP in 2011, Mr. Krish embarked on a new venture, serving as the CEO of Back Office Associates (now Syniti), a Goldman Sachs-backed data management services and software provider. Over eight years, he built and led the business, establishing global delivery centers in India and the Philippines and managing P&L across nine countries.
In his subsequent role as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Xampr, Mr. Krish focused on developing a no-code low-code mobile platform for mobile application development, emphasizing integration, last-mile process flexibility, and template-based workflow adoption. Additionally, his passion for art led to the founding of the online art platform Mayinart.
Mr. Krish holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the European Business School, University of Surrey, UK, and a First-class Honours Degree in Applied Physics/Classical Physics from the University of Calcutta, India. He has also completed the Global Leadership Development Program from INSEAD, France.
Ryan Rakestraw
Director, Temasek
Ryan Rakestraw is a Director at Temasek, where he focuses on making investments in food and agriculture technology companies. Given the importance of innovation needed to feed a growing global population, to support better nutrition, and to increase the sustainability of global agricultural production - Ryan seeks to back promising entrepreneurs and teams that can profitably address these needs with new technologies and business models.
Previously, Ryan was in corporate strategy and corporate venture capital at Monsanto, he also worked as a venture capital investor at Cultivation Capital and the Yield Lab, which he helped to found. Earlier in his career, Ryan was a systems engineer with Northrop Grumman, where he helped design and implement military platforms ranging from undersea to space applications. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from Johns Hopkins, and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
